Denver Senior Photographer: 2015 Senior Model Emma Cohen Introduction

Hey hey! It's me again and I'm back today with another incredible young woman to introduce to you!!  Emma Cohen is a member of my 2015 Senior Model Team and she is a soccer player at Lakewood High School.  Reading her interview below will give you such a great taste of her incredible personality, but let me just give you a little additional insight.  She's AWESOME.  Oh my word, we laughed sooooo much and SO hard during her model session.  I was truly blown away by her confidence.  Emma, I so admire your dreams for your future and I can tell you without a doubt, you will accomplish all of them...you just have it in you to do great things.  And, by the way, if you really do have an "adorable rural wedding in British Columbia," I call dibs on photographing that incredible event.  K, thanks. ;)

Q to Emma: Paint me a picture of what your life will be like at age 30.
A: Age 30.  here we go.  After surviving my senior year of high school, I would have graduated from Indian University (GO HOOSIERS!) with a double major in Sociology and Psychology.  Then I would make my way back to a small suburb of Seattle, and eventually open my own practice as a private therapist.  Right around moving back to the west coast, I would ideally meet the love of my life at the Pikes Place Market and we would travel up north to British Columbia to have an adorable rural wedding.  A little ways down the road, we would welcome two beautiful children into the world.  In order to take care of them and coach their soccer teams, I would take on a partner into my practice to have more flexible hours so I could be an awesome mom.  Maybe this all won't happen by age 30, actually probably not... But hey, I guess I'll see what does!

Q: If you were an animal, which animal would you be and why?
A: It might not be the most creative animal, but I would probably be a bull.  I was born stubborn, I swear - it's not my fault.  But, if I was a bull then people wouldn't be able to criticize my personality because my stubbornness would be in my job title!  People would simply say, "oh just let it go, she's just a bull."  And I could snort steam out of my nose.  There are plenty of times when I wish I could do that.

Q: Describe your perfect date night.
A: Something with music, the outdoors, the beach and the stars... So he would pick me up (preferably in an old and classic truck) and we would hike up a long and winding trail to a beautiful vista.  Then, from this vista we would be looking down on an awesome concert of a country lineup like Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban and maybe Tim McGraw.  Then we would hike back down, go to a conveniently close-by beach and lie down on the sand to look at the stars.  Of course we would see a shooting star and make a wish too.  I obviously request every single bit of this, and nothing less.

Q: Pretend you wrote a book and you have to write your biography for the back cover.  What would it say?
A: Despite all the annoying rapper crap about YOLO - I do have to believe there is some truth to it.  Everyone is granted one life, so I try my best to make the most out of the time that I'm given and just have fun with it!  I'm one of those people who really wants to accomplish everything I have on my bucket list - and I plan to do so. :)

Q: What are your three favorite restaurants in the Denver area?
A: I find food in the strangest places - just a heads up.  But, by far the best place in all of Denver is a teenie little French restaurant called "Le Central" with the absolute BEST mussels I have ever had.  There's also a strange little gas station in Morrison that has a kitchen with pastries that are honestly to die for.  It's so surprising!  And I guess this unknown restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory is pretty good - but I doubt anyone has heard of it because it's really not that big of a deal...

Q: What has been your favorite thing about working with Stacey Kyler thus far?
A: Stacey Kyler! Although I have only done one shoot with her, I can't wait to do my senior session!  We just had so much fun!  And the energetic and enthusiastic vibe truly cannot be described to its justice.  I have to laugh remembering Stacey's outrageous giggle when my skirt came flying up in the middle of a shot from the wind.  And of course, she casually asked me to go slip on some running short underneath my dress.  So classy. ;)

Q: What do you like to spend your free time doing?
A: Soccer pretty much takes up my whole sports life!  Especially with my klutzy tendency to get hurt... But that doesn't keep me from going to any sporting events that I can - whether they be at my school or pro.  My school has a crazy amount of school spirit (ever heard of Katy Perry?) and I love being a part of that as much as I can.  Other than that, I'm busy staying outside as much as I possibly can - hiking, camping, running, boating and anything else I can do!

Q: If you could give advice to the girls who are going to be freshman in high school next year, what would it be?
A: I'll keep it simple - JUST BE NICE.  Go back to kindergarten when your teacher talked about "the golden rule" and make sure that you follow that.  If you're nice to people then you'll learn one of two things - that person will either prove themselves to be just as nice as you and return it; or that person will the exact opposite and reveal their butt-face personality.
